Burkina Faso: an exemplary partnership between AVN and the farmers’ unions

On July 12th AVN and 13 Naam farmers’ unions, including AKNGS, signed a partnership convention to deliver the AVN programme through the Naam Unions in Burkina Faso.

This agreement confirms the strong commitment of the Naam Unions to deliver adapted solutions for the rural construction sector, according to the engagements made last March in Ouahigouya, at the headquarters of the FNGN, and marks the start of what we hope will be a long and fruitful collaboration.

The involvement of 12 new Unions follows on from the collaboration between AVN and AKNGS in 2014, and will contribute significantly to the deployment of the AVN Programme in Burkina Faso, helping to improve the living conditions of rural families.

The motivation of these farmers’ organisations to get involved alongside AVN will, hopefully, encourage the other 72 farmers’ Unions to also join up in the medium term, to enable the AVN programme to be adopted on an an even greater scale.
