Our actions
AVN's program extends to several Sahelian African countries, with Nubian Vault construction projects in both the private and community sectors.
Social impacts
Local employment and training
The NV construction sector is based on the High Intensity Labor Organization (HIMO) method, which promotes local employment, particularly for young people in rural areas. By training local masons and craftsmen, AVN enables these workers to develop a sustainable activity, particularly during the dry season, thus reducing the rural exodus and precarious work, such as gold panning. The technical and entrepreneurial training offered by AVN enables artisans to master a highly employable trade without requiring advanced academic skills. What's more, this approach stimulates local economies by reducing dependence on expensive imported materials.
