I offset my CO2 emissions emissions with the CO2ntribution Climat Solidaire
I enable the construction of low-carbon homes by helping to reduce CO2 emissions, while supporting the populations most exposed to climate change by giving them access to housing adapted to the consequences of climate change.
Why CO2ntribute solidarity?
The average French citizen emits 11 tons of CO2 equivalent per year (source). However, in order to comply with the Paris Agreement, this figure would need to be reduced by a factor of five by 2050 ( ).
The principle behind the CO2ntribution Climat Solidaire is simple: it's about contributing on an individual level to global carbon neutrality.
Because at AVN – Association la Voûte Nubienne, we believe that a global vision has a tenfold impact, our program enables the construction of low-carbon houses contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions, while supporting economic and social development in the Sahel.
Ecoconstructions en Voûte Nubienne :
Low in carbon, high in economic and social impact
Nubian Vault houses are 100% earthen constructions , made from carbon-neutral materials that are widely available locally. This 3,000-year-old architectural concept uses neither wood, which has become scarce, nor cement or sheet metal, which are imported, expensive, unsuitable, and have a high carbon footprint.
The Nubian vault eco-construction sector, developed over nearly 25 years by AVN (Association la Voûte Nubienne), is part of a systemic development approach.
Supported by local actors and offering professional training, jobs, and income for rural youth, this sector aims to provide millions of Sahelians currently living under sheet metal roofs with access to decent housing that is adapted to climate change and the local economic context.
Millions of rural Sahelian families waiting for decent housing adapted to the climate
The majority of them live under tin roofs, in the hottest temperatures in the world, on the front line of global warming, to which they have not contributed. Thanks to the income from the Co2ntribution Climat Solidaire, AVN finances the distribution of eco-building incentives (similar to the aid mechanisms available in France to encourage us to renovate our homes) to enable rural families to build their own Nubian Vault home.

Co-benefits
for local populations
Choosing the CO2ntribution Climat Solidaire means :
building low-carbon homes
emissions and thus reduce Co2
access to housing adapted to the consequences of climate change
for rural families
preservation of wood resources
(wood-free construction)
green jobs and professions
for over 2,000 young Sahelians
A virtuous CO2 Climate Contribution that goes far beyond carbon
Revenue from the CO2ntribution Climat Solidaire is reinvested directly into the development of the program to enable access to decent housing adapted to climate change for a growing number of families as quickly as possible.
- You contribute
- you reduce global carbon emissions
- the Nubian Arch Association can accelerate the transformation of African territories and support the development of local populations.
Carbon offsetting is not tax-exempt
because there's a quid pro quo: the acquisition of carbon units
If you would like to make a tax-exempt donation and support the La Voûte Nubienne Association's program to reduce CO2 emissions in the construction sector, we invite you to become a "social investor".
