The first VN church in Burkina Faso

In 2002, Elise and Marie-Eglé, two ladies from the Hérault, raised funds in their parish in France to help the Catholic community in Petit Balé, a village close to Boromo, to build a new church. The construction programme, with active participation from the villagers, was completed in the Spring of 2005.

This is the first building to combine the VN technique with the use of reinforced concrete beams and pillars to support the vaults, to create a wide open space (170 m2 here).
